When you embark on your wellness journey, there is so much information and misinformation out there – everyone has the ONE solution that’ll make everything right. Right?!
Wrong! You see, when my daughter became ill in 2017 there were no answers for us! Because first of all, we didn’t even know what was going on. We went from doctor to doctor, specialist to specialist, and prescription to prescription. Out of pure frustration with all the contradictory information available and a heartfelt desire to get to the root of the issue I enrolled and completed the IIN (Institute for Integrated Nutrition) program and received my certification in holistic health coaching.
This is when I embarked on the true meaning of wellness. I was in search of what would help my daughter feel well and what would keep my family healthy. Turns out there are many components to wellness. Wellness really is a lifestyle, not just a diet. Everything plays a role – our relationships, stress levels, careers, home life, and yes definitely what we consume.
Then in 2020, during the pandemic I became ill. The anxiety, the stress, the workload, and the feeling that I was not in control of my safety and wellness came crashing down on me. Since then, I’ve battled my way to claim dominion over my own mind, body and wellness. The main thing my wellness education has taught me is bio-individuality. There is no one size fits all solution. Not even cannabis. Yet, cannabis is exactly what helped and continues to help me in my wellness journey.
